Learn how to search for, view, and edit Carts in your Project.

  • Only users in Teams with appropriate permissions can view the Cart list and Cart details, and edit Carts. Permissions are managed by the Administrators Team in your Organization.
  • By default, the list shows only Carts that were modified today. To expand the range, click the Last modified filter and select a different period of up to 31 days.

Search and filter Carts

On the Orders > Cart list page, use the keyword search to find specific Carts and also filter the Cart list based on certain criteria.
  • To search for a Cart, type a keyword in the search bar, then press Enter. Optionally, you can click All fields to restrict the search to a specific field.
The search is case-sensitive. For example, searching for John does not return results for john.
  • To filter the list, click Filters, then add one or more filters to refine your results.

View Cart details

  1. Go to Orders > Cart list.
  2. Select the required Cart from the list.
  3. On the Cart details page, you can see the following information:
    • Status: the current state (for example, Active, Merged, Ordered, Frozen).
    • Cart items: Line Items with quantity and price.
    • Applied cart discounts: Discounts applied to the Cart.
    • Customer: billing and shipping addresses, and a link to the Customer (if the Cart belongs to one).
    • Shipping details: the name of the Shipping Method.
    • Custom Fields: Custom Fields associated with the Cart, if any.
    • Cart summary: overview of the Cart, including taxes, shipping costs, and totals.

View the linked Customer

If the Cart is linked to a Customer, click Open customer details in the Customer section to view the Customer record.

Edit a Cart

You can edit Carts directly from the Cart details page. The Cart edit mode provides a centralized view to manage Cart items, discounts, customer information, shipping details, and Custom Fields.

To make changes, you must first enter edit mode, which temporarily locks the Cart to the Customer. While the Cart is locked, the Customer can't make changes to it. The lock is automatically released when you exit edit mode.

To enter edit mode:

  1. Go to Orders > Cart list and select the required Cart.
  2. Click Enter the edit mode.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Continue to edit mode.
The Cart status displays a Cart locked to customer badge, indicating that the Customer can't modify the Cart while you are editing it.
When you are finished editing the Cart, click Exit the edit mode. The Cart is unlocked, and the Customer can resume making changes to it.
  • You can only edit Carts with the Active status. Carts with other statuses (for example, Merged, Ordered, or Frozen) are read-only.
  • Changes are saved automatically as you update each section.
  • All changes are applied according to Project validation rules and user permissions. The availability of actions depends on the Project configuration.
  • Carts originating from Quotes or Recurring Orders aren't editable in the Cart list or Cart details pages. These Carts must be updated in their respective applications. Links are provided on the Cart details page to navigate directly to those views.
  • Carts with multiple shipping addresses aren't editable in the Merchant Center. These Carts can be modified using the Carts API, and any updates are reflected as read-only in the Merchant Center.
  • To view the lock status of Carts directly from the Cart list page, open the column manager and enable the Cart Lock Status column. This column is hidden by default.

  1. In the Custom fields section, click the edit icon.
  2. In the Edit custom fields panel, do any of the following:
    • To assign a Custom Type: select a type from the dropdown.
    • To change the assigned Custom Type: select a different type from the dropdown. This replaces the currently assigned type with the new one.
    • To update field values: modify the values of the fields displayed for the selected type.

Field values are not retained when switching between Custom Types. Make sure to either note any values you want to keep, or save them before selecting another type.

  3. Click Update custom fields.
Custom Types can only be created using the API. The Merchant Center displays all Custom Types available for Carts and Orders in the Project.
